DevLog #4 We're Back in Action
StimTraders are back in action!
After a long few weeks of working on some brand new features and concepts, StimTraders are finally back for devlogs and to show what we have done and planned for the future!
What have we been up to?
For the past few weeks we have done a major haul on 2 specific things in the game.
Firstly we have done some major changes to the in-game "Crafting System" & "Selling System". Instead of selling objects you find on the different planets we have in store, you now have to craft different types of "STIMS" using the foraged objects to sell to otherworldly creatures. Their is currently a list of 12 objects that can crafted and thrown onto our "crafting table". Once the correct items are on the "crafting table", a minigame will spawn. Getting the minigame "Correct" will award the player with a newly crafted STIM, getting the minigame "Incorrect" will destroy the items in the process and not grant the player anything, forcing them to go out to the world and scavenge the planets once more. These games come in 3 different difficulties : EASY, MEDIUM, HARD.
The next newest feature we have added is.......... a gun!
We have gotten rid of our old Axe weapon which didn't really feel right and have replaced it with a gun! You can now use this to shoot objects out of trees and and to break open minerals and slice away plants! This a highly enjoyable feature that I feel like everyone will love, cause who doesn't love using guns in a VR setting?
Stay tuned for our next devlog where we discuss the design of our ship and planet layouts!
